Suddenly (dedicated to my father, who left too soon)
Suddenly a boy and girl with passions burning lose control
Suddenly a child is born in quiet whispers
Suddenly a storm approaches, dark and angry without warning
Suddenly our homes are crumbling to the ground
Suddenly

September morning all is well beneath a New York sky
Suddenly an airplane smashes into a building
Suddenly our sons and daughters, weapons drawn, defend our nation
Suddenly our freedoms are not taken for granted
Suddenly

Disruptions..interruptions
These things that garner our attention
Distractions…reactions
Suddenly’s can tear your life to pieces
The best laid plans of mice and men are subject to the will of God
His hand will open up a door, to stand before Him face to face

Suddenly all nations fighting, losing hope, and battle weary
Suddenly a man steps up to offer peace
Suddenly our eyes behold an eastern sky that tearing asunder
Suddenly we’re gathering ‘round a righteous throne
Suddenly

If We Were God
In the distance stands a planet-3rd rock from the sun
Spinning carefully in circles feeding creatures on the run
People screaming for an answer when they never ask the question
Is there something more to this life, someone better to become?
There’s a way that seems right to man
But the end is the road to destruction
Does the weight of the world on our hands
Make us move towards the path of salvation?

If we were God this world would never have a Savior
We could never find the love to save mortal man
If we were God creation would always be a failure
We could never place our future solely in Jesus’ hands
If we were God

Bless the churches and the temples waving bibles end to end
Filled with broken saints and sinners taking mercy for a spin
Standing proudly in the courtyard passing judgment here and there
Stabbing backs and throwing stones that are covered with our own sins
We rejoice when one brother goes down
Cause the fall makes us all feel much better
Save your name, cover up your soul
From the Christ who says to love one another

Chorus

Does the blind dream in perfect sight
Can they see what our eyes cannot tell them?
Look ahead what’s in store for you
Praising God for being God cause He loves you

My Mansion will be Empty (A love song)
It started with your smile
So sweet and so familiar
We met with the music in place
I got down on my knees
And saw the tears in your eyes
And asked for your love and embrace
The years have come and gone and still we made it through it all
Will it last for eternity?

He has promised a mansion for those who are faithful
Heaven’s the right place for two
If somebody comes to visit me, they may not find me there
My mansion will be empty, cause I’ll be spending my time with you

When you give your heart, as a gift to share with someone
There’s never a love without pain
The chance for survival can waver like the ocean
With the waves crashing in like/as pouring rain
No fairy tales to lean on, just a vow within the soul
That the breath that I’m breathing holds a love that last forever

Chorus

We have something that we share with our Creator
Love is something that you live for, something that you die for

Chorus
